Christiane Baumann


Christiane Baumann is a post-doctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School studying Emotions and Decision Making with Prof. Jennifer Lerner. She received her Masters degrees in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and in Psychology from the University of Zurich and completed her Ph.D. in Computational Modeling and Decision Making at the University of Zurich in 2021. Her primary research interest is to understand how humans make decisions using a combination of behavioral experiments and computational cognitive models.

At the Shorenstein center, Christiane investigates how emotions influence the way we process information and affect human judgements and choices.
