Chelsea Zabel


Chelsea is a research fellow and lab manager for Professor Lerner at the Harvard Kennedy School. Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, Chelsea attended the University of Michigan and received her Bachelor’s degree with high distinction in Psychology in 2015. Prior to joining Professor Lerner’s team, Chelsea worked as a lab manager in a cognitive neuroimaging lab at the University of Michigan. She is interested in examining effective methods for the arts to be incorporated into education and is pursuing a Masters degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Outside of the lab, Chelsea is active in community theater, and serves on the board for Skylight Theater Collective, a theater group in Boston focused on promoting more fulfilling roles for women both onstage and offstage. She made her directorial debut in 2019 with the company’s production of Pride and Prejudice.
